About DP World Tracking
Dp world tracking Terminal Pvt. of Chennai Ltd. (CCT) is the pioneer container terminal at Chennai. It was established in 1983, privatized in 2001 and started working the same year when DP World took charge of it and made operational. So, CCTL Tracking is managed under a Build-Operate-Transfer agreement for 30 years with Chennai Port Trust (CPT) of the Indian government,.
The terminal handles vessels of the fifth generation up to 6,400 TEU with direct services to China, West Africa, Europe, and the United States.
Since DP World Tracking has taken control in 2001, process re-engineering efforts reduced the dwell time of containers at the terminal from 7-8 days to less than a day.
In 2007, the terminal joined the “One Million” TEU club. Because CCT has started functioning for 13 years, the Chennai Container Tracking team has worked very hard to win the trust of the South Indian trade community and has left no stone unturned to connect with its customers’ customers.
